Story behind the song

I wrote this orginally about just having Country Pride, and helping those that need a hand, Willie took it and changed the words around some and added the music

AMERICAN COUNTRY PIRDE

(VERSE 1)

He’s got two acres and Double Wide
Sitting at the end of a Blacktop Road
An old Ford Pickup Truck and a pit bull with one eye
A Vietnam Sticker tells everybody when he rides

He’s the kind of man who’ll stand up and fight for what he believes
He’s quick to help his neighbors are strangers in need
Think God there’s a lot like him everyday that fight and die
Defending American Country Pride.

He lost an Uncle in Normandy
He saved the medal of Honor that he won Posthumously
He’s got a great big ten foot American Flag
And every year on Veterans Day it flies so high
