Fast feet, flashing lights a city-dash with no clear destination. The pace is up, the path uncertain, but the groove never slips.

A collection of jazz guitar instrumental tunes in various styles
Shades of Blue: The idea behind this album Not all blues come in the same colour. Shades of Blue is a jazz guitar journey through the shifting moods of city life and inner weather, or from strutting confidence to subtle melancholy, late-night grooves, to morning-day shrugs. This is music with character: sometimes defiant, sometimes gentle, sometimes unsure but always moving. Whether its the sharp funk of Come and Get It or the reflective mist of Morning Drizzle, each track paints its own shade, telling stories without saying a word. Plug in, lean back, and let the tones tell their truth. I am incredibly pleased with this body of work. Enjoy my album

Story behind the song
This tune evolved from a practice session over the drum track. I came up with the opening riff which is in essence a rock riff, but played without distortion. The chorus sequence were natural stand off from the riff with an ascending movement. The bassline follows the riff . Once completed it had a sense of movement which shaped how the guitar melody came into being. I wanted something that kind of floats on the rhythm track. I used simple phrasing with lots movement around the neck. for me this is the most complete track on the album, but definitely my favourite.
