A combination of electronica, progressive, world music, and rock influences. Trying a mashup of styles to see what can be created. I started this thing back when I discovered I could share music on Soundclick years ago. FYI the name has been changed a few times as Ive found the various names of the band avatar taken by someone. Going with Jungle Monsta after one of the songs for now.

Story behind the song
My M Band\Ezy Axis swan song if you will. I've honestly not been listening to this type of music at all lately and I feel I need to step out of the way for the younger generation. This last tune tells the story of the a great band I played in but never played out with, and was the last band for my best friend Dave and I together. That band opened up my eyes to new ways of thinking about music. The lyrics are written in a modified sonnet format. Watch for the guitar solo in what has been traditionally called the middle eight.

Thirty years ago thought we were the best around We jammed pretty hard and had it straight But sometimes things come around too late The band was good but never got off the ground We all moved on but never lost the groove And I had learned so much from them Crafted drum n bass and felt cool again Now trying anything nothing to prove So I look back over the work I’ve done Like with John and Dave who blew my mind The best rhythm section I’ve been part And now onto a setting sun Looking to change I feel so fine You know it’s time for a new start.
