Story behind the song
I originally wrote this song in 2005 to pitch it to Johnny Winter ... and why not? No luck then, but this is a NEW VERSION with great live drumming played by Robert Mandelbaum of The Johnson Project.

1. I was there at the beginning when Rock ‘n’ Roll was born,
I could feel that rhythm winnin’ – I was in there at the dawn.

I found my way in and started to sing my way to the top.
