Story behind the song
Wanted to sing this traditional hymn in memory of my lgrandmother Elizabeth Meyer. She used to sing this song to me as a lullably when I was very young. I hope this version brings you as much joy as her version did for me!!
Lyrics
Amazing Grace, Oh How Sweet the Sound - That saved a wretch like me - I once- Was lost - Oh but now- I'm found Once was blind but now- Now I see. Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear - And Grace my fears relieved - Oh how precious did - Did that Grace Appear - The Hour - I first - - O first believed Through Many Dangers, toils - Toils and snares - I have already come - With Grace has brought - Has brought me Safe thus far - And Grace - Sweet Sweet Grace will Bring Me Home Must Jesus Bear His Cross Alone? And all the world go free? No! No! There's a cross for each and everyone and there's a cross for you - For you and me.............. Additional Verse (not on CD) When we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun. We've no less grace than to sing God's Praise then when we've first begun!
