What's up, my name is JC and I've been writing and producing music since 2004 as an independent hip-hop artist. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It's been a continuous progression of teaching myself how to make music since I was very young. I started writing poetry and short stories in my early teens, but really didn't started messing with the technology aspect of music until college.
If you listen to my SoundClick library, starting from the bottom, you'll hear the evolution from 2004 - present day. I've learned a lot since first starting, and I can now say my music sounds completely professional as if it were recorded at any major mainstream studio.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?

Your musical influences
I'm influenced by life and all the challenges it presents. The artists I've been influenced most by over the years are Notorious BIG, Bone Thugs, Cypress Hill, Nas and Papoose.
What equipment do you use?
As an independent artist I have a home recording setup. I use industry standard recording equipment and since I work from an Apple iMac I take advantage of mixing in GarageBand. My final mixes then go out to LANDR who masters my music and then gets sent out to major streaming services via CD Baby.
Anything else?
My music is available on all major streaming services; Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.
